Bakke

This mock trail was lacking in information because the team that was defending Bakke was missing four people. Before talking about what the groups had to say about who they were defending, let me say what the case is about. Bakke was a white male who was denied admission into the University of California Davis Medical School twice. His test scores and GPA from college exceeded above all other applicants. He took this to the California Courts and then to Supreme Court.

The one group member that did defend Bakke talked about the ethics and morals of the situation. How Bakke felt he was being discriminated when he was denied acceptance twice. And as I said above this is the only group member we heard from.

The other team was defending UC Davis Med School Board. They were talking about admission processes and how they thought it was completely fair, no discrimination. They also argued the equal protection clause was not violated.

All in all, this mock trial lacked information to know what really happened during this case, but both teams put forth effort.
